Festive baking

Mangochutney_1This year I’m baking chocolate panforte, (Kakulas Bros in Northbridge has excellent priced glace fruit, nuts etc), biscotti (almond, ginger / clove and apricot / cinnamon) and snowflake cookies.

At the Station Street markets yesterday they had trays of mangoes for $16 (16 mangoes in a tray). I have a recipe for a ripe mango chutney, (excellent book, covers smoking meat, jams, chutneys, even how to make your own billtong) so that’s what I made yesterday arvo. Some of them will be used by Chris (he’s cooking his work’s Christmas dinner this year, I’ll post the menu later), the rest will be cut up and frozen. I think a few mango daiquiri’s will be in order.
