Large_quilt_feb05 Over 12 months ago Emma and I started a quilt. We did it the "lazy" way. Large squares and bagged it out (instead of binding the edges). Mine has been in a cupboard waiting for my inspiration. I lost steam after I decided I didn’t like the solid colour panels AFTER I had bagged it out and sewn it up. They’re not right. I’m thinking I’m going to have to had a ring of appliqued leaves and or birds to break up the solid colours. I don’t know what I was thinking, I must have been having a colour spew day. This quilt is HUGE. It’s not quite king size, so it’s no small undertaking. I will finish it.

Smaller_quilt_feb05_2I also have a much smaller lap quilt top that I completed over 2 years ago. I really like the colours in this one and am very happy with my quilting. I just have to get my act together and bind and quilt it. Both of these quilts are backed with fine pink corduroy.

My interested has been piqued again after seeing Wee Wonderfuls quilting adventures and also Coffee Drinker’s miniture picture "quilts" are fabulous.
