Over 12 months ago Emma and I started a quilt. We did it the "lazy" way. Large squares and bagged it out (instead of binding the edges). Mine has been in a cupboard waiting for my inspiration. I lost steam after I decided I didn’t like the solid colour panels AFTER I had bagged it out and sewn it up. They’re not right. I’m thinking I’m going to have to had a ring of appliqued leaves and or birds to break up the solid colours. I don’t know what I was thinking, I must have been having a colour spew day. This quilt is HUGE. It’s not quite king size, so it’s no small undertaking. I will finish it.
I also have a much smaller lap quilt top that I completed over 2 years ago. I really like the colours in this one and am very happy with my quilting. I just have to get my act together and bind and quilt it. Both of these quilts are backed with fine pink corduroy.
