Me, paranoid, obsessively checking someone’s blog for a "review" of a meal cooked. Never….well ok a few times. As Spicey mentions it is a little strange, inviting people you don’t really know over for dinner on the premise that one of each of the partner’s blogs. Quite a few common interests and not too many quiet moments.
Usually a dinner party wouldn’t phase me. This one wasn’t too bad, but I did have butterflies when I saw the car pull into the driveway. I’m not a very good judge of my own cooking and am usually overly critical, finding it difficult to compliment myself. Thank goodness Chris cooked most the meal. He did a fab job. The drinks were supplied by Toni and Spicey and from what I remember of the white it was very drinkable (nerves, I can’t remember a lot about the wine!). Chris loved the beer and enjoyed the red too. Anthony did a fine job of finishing off the red!
Toni and Spicey were very easy to chat too and are genuine people (and amusing!), even if he does say he "forgot" to bring the mini-eclairs! Yeah right 😉
