I lied

Well, I know I said like a day ago, I’m taking a break. I changed my mind. There’s some life stuff going on at the moment, nothing super dramatic and I was feeling a little sorry for myself. Decided to pull my socks up and keep on truckin’. So to speak!

I’ve finished a couple more kitties. One’s for a swap with Carine (she’s been patiently waiting for weeks now) and the other’s for someone else. It’s a surprise so no info. I’ll also not tell which one’s Carine’s so she’s surprised too! Sorry Carine ๐Ÿ™‚

A little while ago Lisa kept putting up these gorgeous pictures of vintage kokeshi dolls. Which led me on an ebay witch hunt for vintage kokeshi. Thanks Lisa ๐Ÿ˜‰

The large one at the back is vintage 1960’s. I love her hair and the little pair just in front of her are also vintage 60’s. They have a poem on them composed in 8th century! They are so sweet. The two itty bitty kokeshi were a freebie from the ebay seller I purchased from, very cool. The little crochet kokeshi is from Oh Sew Pretty. Great work and attention to detail. I finally won one of Sarah’s clothespin peeps. The detail and personality in these is amazing. Mine has itty bitty teeth!! Too sweet. Larger pic on flickr. She also has little clothespin peep cards!
