good weekend?

I did. Friday night pizza and hanging with my buddy Alison watching a trashy movie…*cough* and spilling a considerable amount of soda on her sofa..but we won’t talk about that.

Finished off Kate. Jess Hutch’s pattern from Knitty. I know I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again (Jess, you can pay me later ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). Love her pattern writing. Clear instructions, nice shaping and fun, quick knits. Kate had to sit down to have her picture taken as her legs get tired carrying around her very heavy middle section (she’s got a penchant for homemade rocky road and over indulged this weekend). Trying to decide which pattern to do from Jess’s book.

Saturday morning GYM at 9am, I know, don’t fall over. Then craft store browsing and by 2pm I had to lay down for a nanna nap. Though it turned into a nanna marathon nap for over 3 hours.

Sunday, domesticity around the home, thought about sewing, cleaned up my sewing desk, no sewing eventuated. Went off to Cottesloe for the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, flickr pics by me and others.. Lots of fun and amazing weather yesterday. Gorgeous. Girlfriend over for dinner and a viewing of Crash.

Oooh I can’t wait to get down to Sculpture by the Sea, but in the meantime I’ve seen lots of great pics of it around the place to tide me over! (how great that you can take your own piccies of an art exhibition). Quite a few of my uni lecturers are in it too so I can’t wait to see their works ๐Ÿ™‚
    Kate looks awesomely cute!

Sounds like a dream weekend – you finished a gorgeous Kate, did some browsing, did some napping, saw a cool exhibit and saw Crash – my kind of weekend….
Your Kate is absolutely lovely, you did a smashing job with her. You are not alone in singing the praises of the lovely and talented Jess. I was talking with a friend the other day and decided that her patterns (which are all you describe and then some!) are the perfect knitting snack food – they’re quick, they’re yummy, and oh-so-satisfying. Her tagline should be “bet ya can’t knit just one….”

That sculpture by the sea sounds so fabulous.
And Kate turned out quite nicely! ๐Ÿ™‚ I think I’ll have to add that to my list o’ things to make!
