for Jean

You might remember this post back in March when I was gifted some Midwinter Modern china, I can’t believe it’s been that long. Well I finally got around to making my friend’s granny a cushion as a thank you. Said granny, Jean, has had a Morris Minor her whole driving life. Yes, it’s the "driven by little old lady, only one owner" type of car. Now that she’s in assisted care, she can’t drive her minor and her daughter is looking after it. So the minor log was born (that just sounds wrong, or is it just me?). Jean’s favourite colours are green and pink, so we have a lot of green and pink here. Mainly using Amy Butler prints. I hope Jean enjoys her cushion, she lives about 4 hours away, down in Albany so I won’t be able to give her the cushion in person.

Thank you for your great comments and response to Jim. I haven’t seen him the past week, I know he’s around but we’ve not run into each other. Don’t worry, I’ll be filling you in on further Adventures with Jim. Never know, Jammin’ with Jim could become a regular feature.

AND craftapalooza turned 2 last week! I had fleeting thoughts of celebrating in some form, and might still do something. Thanks to everyone that comments and lurks. I might not often personally respond to comments, but do appreciate the feedback. I am constantly inspired and motivated by my online community and friends that I’ve made through this blog.

i love the whole story! jean is such a nanna name, and the morris is my favourite old car. in fact, we just bought a 1962 morris major, blue with white fins. the interior needs some sprucing up – cushions for the morrie maybe? jean’s cushion is fantastic – bet she’ll love it. yay for nannas, tea sets, morries & blogs.

Lovely work again- looking forward to many more years of your crafting (and cooking) exploits.
(although I note that if you can get to Albany in 4 hours I assume you’re driving something a little faster than a Morris?!)

Congrats on two years! I just celebrated mine as well. My fiancee redesigned my site as a gift. When he designed the new banner, he told me he was inspired by yours. it looks completely different, of course. But thought you’d like to know you are inspiring us over here in the USA in many ways.
