Stretch.

Earlier this week I resigned from my 5.5 year old job. Bloody hard. There’s the part of me that knows it’s time to move on to something new and stretch myself, then there’s the scaredy cat part that wants to stay where I currently am because it’s safe and comfy and well worn. So I resigned and then I had the guilts (mourning, Gillian called it) and now I’m somewhere in between. Yes, I have a new position, bigger design studio, more responsibility and a more concentrated less "Jill of all trades" sort of roll. But I looked in my hearts and decided I need to jump. I’m jumping. In four weeks, new job, new people, new stuff. Just tell my stomach it’s ok and to stop flipping all over the place! I figured to keep me on the straight and narrow I’d ask Gillian to mentor me and she’s agreed, so I’m giving myself the best chance possible to succeed. You ever get that feeling that "they’ll" find out you’re a fraud? LOL Yep that’s the feeling.

Friday The Son and I are flying over to Melbourne for a whirlwind 3 day weekend. Footy at the Telstra Dome on Friday night. Hoping that on Friday afternoon I can go here to shop at Camper and Spacecraft, sssh haven’t told The Son yet. One night here, breakfast with lovely Fran and Emma, then spending time with a dear friend that I haven’t seen for a couple of years. Gonna have french toast at Babka and wander Brunswick St, maybe go to this. Any other recommendations from you crafty Victorians?

Crafty wise. Well knitting’s about it at the moment. I’ve been working on a pressie for T-Roy. Very cool pattern using short rows, Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf. Oh and Al’s selling a very sweet knitted baby top pattern, you know the one with the gorgeous fabric panel, go on over and check it out.

Happy crafting!

It is difficult to make such a big change, I’m not surprised that your tum is doing acrobatics. Good for you for being so brave! Here’s to the future!

Congrats Nicole. I’m sure your tummy is doing sommersaults but the best advise I ever got.

The Fraud Police: I know all about them.
Sadly I don’t think they ever go away.
    Unless you’ve got a cast-iron ego.
