a whole buncha* stuff

Well hello there. Only one week between posts, slowly getting back to a blog rhythm. I’ve recently decided that I’d like to ramp the blog up a little, get more interaction happening, get you lurkers to comment. I know you’re there, you’re in my stats, you’re just not commenting. I know also that I post not asking for feedback and that I’ve also not been as interesting lately! As next month is my 4 year blog anniversary I’ll be running a competition and also have a 52 week giveaway. Yup, 52 weeks. Nothing huge, just a little something. So, keep your eyes peeled.

Also, Lovely Leslie (that’s what I say in my head when I read her blog or buy from her shop) is having a blogiversary giveaway. You need to let her know your crafty goals for the next year.

Do any of you do this? Whenever I read Angry Chicken, the first thought that goes though my head is WHY is the chicken angry? Or am I missing something?

The picture? That’s just to distract you. I have lots of WIP’s, ideas, an invite to submit a pattern to a craft book (yay!), just no new pics.

I’m working on blog renovations too, so you’ll notice things happening if you come out of your RSS reader and visit the site.

Don’t you reckon this is what Rapunzel’s plaits would look like?

* Buncha – Aussie (I think) slang for bunch of.

I’ve been reading your blog faithfully for nearly all of those 4 years, but don’t often comment (bad me!)
I do however have a couple of the little wool tape measures you used to make and use them daily! I keep one in my purse and one in my knitting bag and people ask me all the time where they’re from 🙂

Another lurker coming out of the mists! And a fellow Perth-ite, though now I’m living in the US for a while.
I’ll be very happy if you decide to post more often — and yes, I also feel the ‘Angry’ doesn’t sit at all well with the ‘Chicken’ on her blog. It’s always so cool and calm there!
Those plaits look more like they belong to the offspring of Rapunzel and Bob Marley to me …

Hey! J9 – Good to hear from you!
Leslie – Fingers and pink bits crossed 🙂
Hi Bertha! Oh sweet that you have tape measures.
Lesley – Ha! Maybe she hooked up with Bob in another life..
    Erin – Hey thanks 🙂
Emma – No guilt and thanks for the comment!! AAAAH Doh, she does indeed, it’s been bugging me!

I was thinking about the 4 year thing the other day and thinking I should get off my backside and do something too.
It will be so nice to have you back regularly – I miss you!

Perhaps it was all that crossing the road?? The chicken I mean.
Yeah, what Alison said. I’ve missed you!
Yours was one of the very first blogs I ever read back when I started blogging a bit over three years ago, and perhaps the first I ever commented on. And about 16 months ago I met you once and was so very delighted to see that in real life you are exactly like your blog. I just love that.
I look forward to having you back a bit more.

has it really been four years? You were one of the first blogs I read as well. It was a lovely introduction to the blogsphere and I found some great links which lead me to the 300 or so I have in my blogroll, argggg. That accounts for my lack of commenting, it is so easy to read using a feeder and you just don’t get to comment as easily. Big congrats on being 4!

Oh alright, I’ll de-lurk as you asked so nicely 🙂
I’ve been reading your blog for about a year now, I think the first thing to get me here was a link to one of your early foot rests which I thought was wonderful.
I’m also a regular reader of the Angry Chicken – who I’m sure has an early blog post about why she named it that. I think she was short of ideas and wishes it was different now as she doesn’t want people thinking of her as angry (or possibly it was as a chicken?..)
