Hey! Trying to drop in here more often. I'm crafting, but it seems I'm crafting for markets these days, trying to get a little balance back and craft just for the sake of it. I have some birthdays coming up so I reckon there will be some presents to make. Last night I picked up some sock knitting that I'd abandoned over 6 months ago, could be the cooler weather kicking in.
The picture my "new" secondhand Groovy Grove, Daphne. The only thing crafted by me is the squirrel, from a pattern at Puchi Collective. The dress I won from Eurotrash, she came with the boots, deer headband from SammyDoe (how awesome it is!) and the shroom from Craftsty.
Brown Owls this Saturday, owlettes RSVP at this post today, quick sticks!
AND Pip's book has been published. Get your copy here or ask your local bookstore to get it in.
Sharing some of my supplies and storage ideas. I can be very untidy but at the same time I'm organised, everthing has a case or a space, it just might not always be put away.
Pins – these are pins I use for my stuffed apples, people LOVE the pins, ask where I get them and want to buy pins. I did have them all mushed together in a tin but it wasn't practical so I colour sorted them in this container, much more satisfying.
Ribbons – I have 3 of these cases, the other two are smaller and house linen trims and ric rac. This box has general ribbons. It's sorta organised, some pieces are carded, others wound around themselves and others just floating about. It's fun digging through looking for the right piece of ribbon.
Felt balls/beads – these make me happy, no reason why, they're just so satisfying to look at. Just started using them on my tape meaures as the "pull".
LOVING this hilarious video by Leslie Hall. Thanks JCarr.
Wow, it's been weeks. Hi! Busy and not busy. You know? Working the day job, working at nights on the craft. Perth Upmarket this Sunday 8th March, come and spend your dough on quality handmade. I'll have apple pincushions galore, scrabble tile pendants, felt tape measures, screen printed tea towels and some button fridge magnets. If you come and say hi to Sondra and I at the market we'll give you a little giftie. You have to say you read the "market me baby" post. Ha! Let's see who's shy.
We had the first Perth Brown Owls meeting last Saturday. It was a blast. Lots of ladies turned up and it looked like they all enjoyed it. Details for next meeting will be at the members blog and facebook.
I'll leave you with a fuzzy iPhone picture of Ted and Piggie. Yep, prime spot at the end of the bed, they are good wrestling buddies.
