HexaYoJoy Ornament and Garland Pattern

The HexaYoJo pattern is a great way to use scraps and make festive decorations or a garland. Made using folded hexagons and yo-yo's, both are super fun to make.

Materials Required

Fabric - a mix of prints. We will be cutting circles from between 3-7" (7.5cm-17cm), there are templates in the pdf pattern.

Thread - 50wt thread or any thread you’d like to sew through cotton, thicker thread like Perle cotton (8-12wt) or similar for stringing the garland.

Needles - Milliner or similar to stitch the yo-yo's and folded hexagons and a longer needle like a sashiko or redwork embroidery needle they will be used to string the garland.

Ribbon - to hang up the ornaments, about ⅛-¼" (0.5cm) wide and 6" (15cm) per ornament.

Felt Beads - For the garland. Approximately ¼-½" (0.5-1.25cm) in size - 10-20 required, depending on the length of the garland

Template Plastic or Cardboard - we will need to cut three circles.

Glue - Glu-stick or applique glue.

Not required, but if you do have the Clover Quick Yo-Yo Maker (Small, Green) then you can use that to make the yo-yos for these projects
