About the Pattern

Hello, hello!
Apple-Lutely Pillow is a fun hand-sew with loads of fussy-cutting potential. This pattern is designed for hand piecing 1 inch hexagons without papers (paper-free EPP). If traditional English Paper Piecing is your thing, you can do that too, because I have included printable 1 inch hexagon papers in the PDF.

You will learn how to:

  • Stamp, cut, and sew hexagons without tracing (using a 1 inch hexagon stamp if you have one)
  • Hand piece 1 inch hexagons in rows and join the rows with that lovely seam freedom (pivoting seams by not sewing into seam allowance)
  • Quilt your pillow front (optional big stitch hand quilting) and finish with a simple envelope back (no zip required)

IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • Seam allowances are ¼" (0.6 cm).
  • Pattern includes an envelope closure backing (no zipper required).
  • Any errata will be listed on the Craftapalooza errata page noted inside the pattern.

Skills

Confident beginner and up (comfortable with hand stitching and accurate seam lines).
