Merry Stitchmas EPP Ornament PDF Pattern

Merry Stitchmas EPP Ornaments is a trio of sweet English paper pieced Christmas baubles designed for hand sewing joy.

Stitch them for your tree, tie them onto gift wrap, or make a whole scrappy set for festive decor. The papers stay inside the ornaments to help them hold their shape, so they are fast, and super satisfying.

Finished size

• Approximately 3 to 4 inches (7.5 to 10 cm), depending on the template size you choose
• Pentagon ring (small): approx 3.6 in (9.1 cm)
• Tall pentagon ring (small): approx 4 in (10.2 cm)
• Petal ring: approx 3.8 in (9.7 cm)
• Larger pentagon options included, finishing approx 4.6 in (11.7 cm)

What you will need (typical supplies)

• 300 to 400gsm cardstock to print templates
• Milliner needle size 10 or 11
• 80wt thread (Decobob suggested)
• Fabric scraps (mini charm sized scraps work beautifully) or a 10 inch square for a single-fabric look
• Acid-free glue pen for glue basting (papers stay in)
• Ribbon for hanging (approx 20 to 25 cm / 8 to 10 in per ornament, 3mm wide)
  Optional extras
• Small bells
• Wool felt for holly leaves (approx 2 in square)
• 1 cm felt beads (3 per ornament) and heavier thread for stitching them together

Skill level

Confident beginner and up, with clear diagrams and photos. If you have never tried EPP before, this is a fun way to start.
